Films gebaseerd op een game hebben niet echt een best trackrecord. Wie herinnerd zich de Super Mario Movie nog? Er klinken steeds meer geruchten dat er interesse is om Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 naar het zilveren scherm te brengen.


Jesse Stern, verantwoordelijk voor het script denkt dat het een goede combinatie zou zijn. "It would work very well as a film. Hopefully, that's a conversation I'll have with somebody somewhere down the line. Jason West, Steve Macuda and the rest of the guys from Infinity Ward have an interest in doing it and Activision wants to do it. I'd be very curious to give that a try. You've got your source material to draw on, which is the biggest advantage in getting one of these movies off the ground."


Ook de stemacteur Kevin McKidd (Soap) liet zich eerder ontvallen dat een Call Of Duty-film zeker een mogelijkheid is. "They were looking for a rough, Scottish actor in Hollywood they probably couldn’t get Gerard Butler, so they got the No. 2 Gerard Butler, me. I had no idea it would be so huge, and now there are talks of a feature film. If the script is good, and Gerard isn’t available [laughs], then absolutely."
